Made from selvedge denim woven on vintage shuttle looms, the fabric features yarn dyed with naturally fermented āSukumo Aiā indigo, cultivated and processed by the legendary Watanabe workshop in Tokushima, Japan. From growing and harvesting the indigo plant to fermenting and hand-dyeing the yarn, this traditional process is part of a cultural heritage that deserves to be preserved for future generations.
The denim has a truly unique texture and a deep, original indigo tone that only natural dye and handwork can achieve. With a one-wash finish, the fabricās rich character is already beginning to show.
The cut is relaxed with an East Coast wide tapered leg, giving you room through the thigh with a clean taper towards the ankle. It features a zipper fly, five-pocket design, and all the subtle detailing you'd expect from a garment made with purpose and intention.
